Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including but not limited to general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
• Perform dental imaging as required, ensuring accurate positioning and quality of images.
• Take and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
• Ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and organized for use.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control procedures, and dental systems is essential.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of various dental specialties including endodontics and prosthodontics.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is a plus.
