Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols
• Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards
• Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Gather and record vital signs, medical history, and other patient information to support comprehensive care
• Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments
• Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique
• Familiarity with dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and infection control procedures is essential
• Experience using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, billing, and record keeping
• Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus
• Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and oral anatomy knowledge is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to follow clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare infection prevention standards

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
