Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures.
• Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
• Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
• Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection control policies to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Support the dental reception team by managing patient management software, scheduling appointments, and handling medical documentation with professionalism.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry practices.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Experience with dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and digital scanners like 3D imaging tools.
• Familiarity with EMR systems including Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient data management.
• Excellent understanding of infection prevention protocols including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection control expertise.
• Ability to perform vital signs measurement and medical imaging accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery procedures is a plus for supporting diverse patient needs.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
