Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Russian/English speaking Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires proficiency in dental terminology, chairside assisting, and a solid understanding of infection control protocols. The Dental Assistant will also be responsible for managing patient records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
• Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment plans in EMR systems such as Dentrix.
• Manage dental clinic operations including scheduling appointments, handling medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically Dentrix
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques is essential.
• Experience with medical imaging technologies such as 3D scanners is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
