Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists during procedures, manage patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. Duties

• Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies using aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
• Manage patient records electronically using EMR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Record vital signs and medical history, including medical imaging and documentation of medical records.
• Support chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency.
• Educate patients on dental procedures, post-care instructions, and oral health practices using appropriate dental terminology.
• Maintain infection control standards by adhering to strict sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical coding, and updating medical documentation.
• Operate 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology to enhance diagnostic capabilities.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a dental clinic setting and familiarity with dental assisting duties are essential.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.
• Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and infection control protocols.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus; experience working with pediatric patients is desirable.
• Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
