Dental Assistant

Mansion Flats Dental is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team in Downtown Sacramento.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable in a fast-paced dental environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and passionate about dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care
• Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by certification and California requirements
• Take intraoral photographs and digital scans as needed
• Assist with restorative, crown, bridge, endodontic, and other dental procedures
• Prepare materials and instruments for procedures
• Maintain proper infection control and sterilization protocols
• Set up and break down operatories efficiently
• Provide patients with post-treatment instructions
• Help patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit
• Maintain accurate clinical records and charting
• Communicate effectively with the front office and clinical team
• Monitor and maintain dental equipment and supplies
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety protocols
• Support the dental team wherever needed

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred
• Current California dental assisting credentials/certifications as required for the duties performed
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, positive, and dependable attitude
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy dental office
• Comfortable working directly with patients
• Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
