About the role
Nelson Dental Centre is a busy, modern digital dental practice based in Central Nelson. We are looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to join our fun and friendly yet professional team. You will be working very closely with one of our five dentists, assisting them fully to deliver excellent patient outcomes. The role provides exposure in all aspects of general dentistry including surgical extractions, implants and IV sedation work.
Key responsibilities
- Setting up the surgery room
- Processing x-rays
- Patient management
- Making of dental appliances
- Sterilisation
- Ordering products
- Supporting reception
About you
- A great sense of humour
- Calming and reassuring with patients
- Punctual and reliable
- Willingness to learn
- Ideally, previous dental assisting experience with knowledge of EXACT Dental Software
- Available to work Monday-Friday 7:45 am to 5:15 pm
- New Zealand citizenship or residency
- Must be able to pass safety checking through the police vetting system under the Children's Act 2014
