Dental Assistant

6 Month Fixed-Term Maternity Leave Cover | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

Richmond Village Dental is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly, close-knit team for a 6 month fixed term maternity leave cover position, through until March.

We’re a busy, modern practice with a team that genuinely enjoys working together. We’re proud of creating a warm and welcoming environment for both our patients and our staff, and we’re looking for someone who will fit naturally into our team.

🦷 About the role

This is a 3 day per week position, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, up until March.

Please note: our practice closes over the Christmas/New Year period.

You’ll work closely alongside our dentists and wider clinical team, assisting across a variety of general dental procedures and helping to keep the day running smoothly.

Your role will include:

• Chairside assisting across a variety of general dental procedures
• Surgery preparation and room turnover
• Sterilisation and maintaining high infection control standards
• Ensuring instruments and equipment are prepared and ready to go
• Supporting our clinicians throughout the day
• Providing a friendly and reassuring experience for our patients
• Helping maintain a clean, organised and welcoming practice

💛 About you

Previous dental assisting experience is essential.

We’re looking for someone who is confident in a dental surgery and can hit the ground running. You’ll ideally be someone who:

• Has solid experience as a Dental Assistant
• Is confident chairside and comfortable assisting with a range of procedures
• Is organised, reliable and works well in a busy environment
• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
• Is friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys working with patients
• Communicates well and works collaboratively with the wider team
• Is proactive and happy to jump in wherever needed
• Has a positive attitude and contributes to a supportive team environment
