Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team at Swift River Dentistry! Duties

• Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist with the management patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and managing documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following infection control standards and anatomy knowledge to prevent cross-contamination.
• Support the team with dental terminology explanations to ensure patient understanding of procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and dental imaging devices to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with Eaglesoft is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security is required.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge is necessary.
• Experience supporting general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics will set candidates apart.
• Licensing and hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging, and 3D scanning technology is highly advantageous.

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
