Dental Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during procedures and perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patients.
• Assist the dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
• Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
• Prepare materials for making impressions and restorations.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

* ABLE TO SPEAK SPANISH*

• Proficient in aseptic technique for infection control.
• Knowledge of dental assisting procedures.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation.
• Ability to take accurate vital signs.
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques.
• Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Understanding of dental terminology.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
