Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management standards.
• Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including X-ray imaging, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Collect vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care and facilitate accurate medical records updates.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health.
• Coordinate with the dental reception team for appointment scheduling, patient management software updates, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with exposure to general dentistry procedures is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection control protocols.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare infection prevention standards is essential.
• Experience using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient data efficiently.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience supporting pediatric patients is a plus.
• Certification or training in dental radiography (X-ray) techniques is required or highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of dental equipment operation, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques to ensure safety and compliance at all times.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
