Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant, who is also bilingual in Spanish, to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and aseptic techniques to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort, fostering effective communication with our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
• Perform dental radiography and manage medical imaging equipment, including 3D scanners, to capture accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a Dental Receptionist when required.
• Ensure that all dental instruments are sterilized and maintained according to aseptic techniques.
• Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and assisting with their specific needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dental clinic or as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential for effective communication within the clinical environment.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, as well as proficiency in using dental systems and equipment such as 3D scanners.
• A strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are critical for success in this role.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
