Dental Assistant

**Job Overview:**

We are a dynamic, patient-centered private dental practice seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is confident assisting with a wide range of dental procedures while helping create a positive and comfortable experience for every patient.

**Duties:**

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment

• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments

• Take dental X-rays

• establish relationships with patients to help them feel at ease

• Maintain accurate patient records

• take iTero scans (can train)

• make temporary crowns (can train)

**Skills:**

• Proficiency in X-Ray procedures

• Experience in dental assisting

• experience in iTero scanning is preferred

• experience with Dentrix is preferred

• Familiarity with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations

• Understanding of medical imaging techniques

• Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is a plus

• Knowledge of aseptic techniques for infection control

• ability to develop rapport with patients

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 2 years (Required)
• Dentrix: 1 year (Preferred)
• digital scanning (iTero or similar): 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Xray License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Hamilton Square, NJ 08690: Relocate before starting work (Required)
