Dental Assistant

**Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our dental office, working closely with dentists, hygienists, and other support staff to deliver exceptional patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to build a rewarding career in the dental industry. **Responsibilities:** - Assist dentists and hygienists with patient procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing equipment. - Take and develop X-rays, as well as use 3D scanners to support diagnosis and treatment planning. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. - Monitor patient vital signs and maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment. - Participate in the preparation and presentation of patient information, including education on oral health and hygiene. - Support the dental team in providing prosthodontic treatments and other specialized procedures. - Utilize medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals. **Experience:** - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required, with a focus on maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to strict infection control protocols. - Familiarity with dental software, such as Dentrix, is an asset. - Experience with Eaglesoft or similar electronic health record systems is preferred. - Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to use it in a dental context is essential. - A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a degree in dental assisting or a related field being an advantage.
