Dental Assistant

At Simply Orthodontics, the Orthodontic Dental Assistant plays an essential role in creating an exceptional patient experience while supporting the clinical team in delivering high-quality orthodontic care. You are a key part of helping appointments run smoothly, ensuring patients feel comfortable, and supporting efficient clinical operations throughout the day. This position will work out of our offices in Framingham and Hopkinton; must be able to work at both locations to be considered for this position. We are willing to provide on the job training in order for you to obtain you MA state dental license!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 5 pm

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and positive experience for patients by helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their orthodontic visit
• Assist the Orthodontist during a variety of orthodontic procedures, including adjustments, bonding, debonding, retainer appointments, and other clinical treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure appointments run efficiently and on schedule
• Take diagnostic records, including digital x-rays, photographs, and scans/impressions as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, retainers, aligners, and post-treatment instructions to support successful outcomes
• Monitor patient flow and work closely with the clinical team to maintain an efficient schedule and minimize wait times
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update patient records as needed
• Follow all infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment area
• Collaborate closely with the orthodontic team to support exceptional patient care and day-to-day office operations
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

• Orthodontic experience strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with dental experience and a positive attitude
