Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and comfort during their visits. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is knowledgeable in dental procedures and practices, as well as someone who can effectively communicate with both patients and the dental team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications.
• Support the dentist in performing general dentistry tasks, including prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry.
• Ensure the dental office is organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
• Proficiency in prosthodontics and four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
• Strong skills in medical documentation and record keeping.
• Experience or knowledge in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is a plus.
• A solid understanding of anatomy relevant to dental care.
