Who We're Looking For

The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing chairside assistance to dentists during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and performing various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient dental office operations and exceptional patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of the Dentist on shift. Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, including but not limited to providing chair-side assistance while dentists examine and treat patients.
• Ensure patients are as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.
• Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations, take dental x rays, and process x-ray film as directed by a dentist.
• Handle other radiological equipment and assist patients with these procedures as directed by a dentist
• Help track the inventory of the prosthetic supplies and keep the storage closet organized.
• Monitor patients during procedures and alert dentist to any issues or concerns
• Monitor the schedule and actively communicate with the front desk for patients in waiting room
• Track and manage incoming/outgoing laboratory cases
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 2 years
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude
• Experienced in four-handed dentistry, preferred

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $17.90 - $30.50 per hour
