Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are prepared and sterilized according to dental sterilization procedures.
• Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and cerec machines while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Take dental X-rays with precision, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Manage patient records using Dentrix, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient treatments.
• Conduct vital signs assessments and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain infection control standards by implementing healthcare infection prevention and control protocols, including aseptic techniques and dental instrument processing.
• Support patient management by providing clear instructions, answering questions about procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of dental assisting practices including chairside assisting, dental terminology, and dental equipment operation.
• Experience with Dentrix for managing medical records efficiently.
• Knowledge of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus for supporting diverse patient needs.
• Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral structures and medical terminology relevant to dental care.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
