Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including cleanings, fillings, orthodontics, and pediatrics treatments
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic or Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation of treatments and appointments
• Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
• Support front desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and medical terminology standards to ensure safety and compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental assisting or related roles with knowledge of dental procedures and protocols
• Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic for record keeping and scheduling
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatric populations
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant training preferred; willingness to learn new technologies and procedures
• A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
