Dental Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Klinik Pergigian Dr Max Dental' in Shah Alam, Selangor. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by handing them instruments, mixing materials, and maintaining a sterile working environment
2. Preparing treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and equipment, stocking supplies, and ensuring the workspace is clean and organised
3. Welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records and documentation
4. Providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism
5. Performing basic laboratory duties, such as taking impressions and pouring models
6. Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
7. Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations and maintaining the highest standards of infection control

What we're looking for

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completed dental assisting training program or certificate
3. Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a similar clinical setting
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and their families in a warm and friendly manner
5. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
6. Proficient in using dental equipment, materials, and software
7. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing the best possible care to our patients
