Absolute Smiles is a new, modern dental practice in Gainesville, Virginia, committed to providing high-quality dentistry in a welcoming, professional, and patient-centered environment.

We are looking for a dependable, skilled, and motivated dental assistant to join our team as we launch and grow our practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be part of building a new dental office, contribute to a positive team culture, and potentially grow into a full-time position as patient volume increases.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with restorative, cosmetic, crown and bridge, implant, and other dental procedures as trained and authorized.
• Assist with Invisalign cases, including digital scans, patient records, case preparation, aligner delivery, and patient instructions.
• Fabricate, trim, adjust, and polish temporary crowns and provisional restorations.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures.
• Maintain sterilization, infection-control, and clinical safety standards.
• Take dental X-rays in accordance with applicable Virginia requirements.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation.
• Monitor dental supplies and keep operatories clean, organized, and ready for patient care.
• Coordinate with the dentist and front desk team to maintain an efficient schedule.
• Support a professional, friendly, and positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
• Must have a dental X-ray/radiology certificate or credential that meets applicable Virginia requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Invisalign workflows strongly preferred.
• Experience fabricating temporary crowns and provisional restorations strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with digital impressions and intraoral scanners is a plus.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, clinical procedures, sterilization, and infection control.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow with a new dental practice.
