Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant for Three days a week, Tues, Wed, Saturday, where your energy and attention to detail will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and sterilization. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases, while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Duties

• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery treatments
• Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment ensuring proper sterilization and aseptic techniques in accordance with infection prevention management policies
• Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology while adhering to dental radiography safety standards
• Manage patient records and medical documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and managing patient comfort throughout visits
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed for comprehensive patient assessments
• Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating patient management software, and acting as a dental receptionist when required

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
• Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical confidentiality policies
• Certification or training in dental x-ray techniques and infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic technique
• Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining strict infection prevention standards
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus; experience assisting with oral surgery or endodontic procedures is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professionals
