Dental Assistant

We are a steady growing family practice looking to expand our staff as we transition into our new location.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical coding as necessary

Skills

• Proficient in taking and developing dental x-rays
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations
• Strong assisting skills, including knowledge of infection control protocols
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and interpretation
• Ability to take vital signs and record patient information accurately
• Proficient in aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment
• Experience working as a dental receptionist is a plus
• Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Your skills in X-Ray, CAD, assisting, Infection control, Medical imaging, Vital signs, and Aseptic technique, will be utilized to provide high-quality care to our patients. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
