We are hiring a Dental Assistant!

Are you a friendly, motivated and caring Dental Assistant looking for a great place to work? Dr. Erin Manicom and the team at Wellington Dental are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
• Take dental radiographs and use intraoral cameras for documentation
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while ensuring sterilization standards are met
• Help patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visits
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation using dental practice management software (AbelDent)
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal health outcomes
• Support the dental team with administrative tasks (ie. digital charting), scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries as necessary

Qualifications and Qualities We Are Looking For:

• Valid certification as a Dental Assistant Level II (ideally)
• Proficiency in dental software systems (AbelDent used in office- will provide training on this specific software)
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
