Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Assist dentists during various procedures such as X-ray imaging, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
• Take X-rays
• Manage patient records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize procedure efficiency.
• Conduct vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols, including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with the dental team and provide exceptional patient care.
• Certification in radiography (X-ray) and coronal polishing
• Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and adhering to healthcare infection prevention standards.
