DENTAL ASSISTANT - EXPERIENCED CHAIRSIDE

Overview

We are seeking a dependable and Experienced Chairside Dental Assistant with a positive attitude to join our fun loving dental team. Your schedule is a 4 day work week with Fridays off! This position requires experience with assisting the doctor with implants, oral surgery, CBCT scans, root canals, clear aligner treatment and other general dentistry procedures. The ability to work efficiently with a team oriented environment is crucial. Experience with Dentrix Ascend is highly desirable. Must be able to work Monday through Thursday from 6:30am-4:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, implant placements, and orthodontic treatment.
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for each patient.
• Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, Nomads, 3D scanners, Primescan, and Zoom while adhering to safety protocols.
• Entering patient chart notes and treatment plans.
• Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments.
• Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Support front desk operations by assisting with dental receptionist duties when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and answer any questions related to their procedures or oral health.

Skills

• Proven experience as a chairside dental assistant in a dental practice setting with proficiency in general dentistry procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry
• Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, entering and presenting dental treatment plans.
• Certification in X-ray techniques and radiography required; must adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry combined with infection control expertise ensures safe practice standards are maintained at all times.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
