Dental Assistant Level II

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Level 2 Dental Assistant to join our team of dedicated dental professionals. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Abeldent dental software.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
• Assist with pediatric dental care, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
• Utilize CEREC 3D scanner technology for dental impressions.
• Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dentistry to enhance communication with the dental team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice is required as we are a large practice with a busy schedule.
• Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Abeldent, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Dental terminology and tooth numbers.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion towards patients.
• Certification in Dental Assisting and good standing with the ODAA
• Willingness to learn and grow as a part of our team and contribute to oral health of our patients!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
