Dental Assistant - (Niagara)

**Job Summary:**
The Dental Assistant at the Community Health Center of Niagara in Niagara Falls, NY, plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in compliance with regulatory guidelines. This position involves collaborating closely with the dentist, engaging in four-handed dentistry tasks, managing patient seating and dismissals, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, overseeing inventory, handling basic equipment maintenance, and fulfilling various clerical duties. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a professional and supportive attitude towards patients while actively participating in staff meetings.

**Qualifications:**

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a dental office
• Certification as a registered dental assistant in New York State is preferred

**Responsibilities:**

• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Seat and dismiss patients, maintain cleanliness in the operatory and dental laboratory
• Sterilize dental instruments, process radiographs
• Manage dental supplies inventory, conduct laboratory duties, and handle clerical tasks
• Utilize computerized systems for patient registration and other administrative processes
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as changing suction machine filters

**Salary Range:**

• Registered Dental Assistant: $20.87 - $28.47 per hour
• Dental Assistant without certification: $18.68 - $22.32 per hour
