Orthodontic Dental Assistant - 5 days/week (Full-Time)

Our practice is seeking an experienced, Dental Assistant to support our Orthodontists here at Hodges Orthodontics - Bala Cynwyd, PA.

As a clinical team member, you will be assisting the dentist in procedures and monitoring the patient’s overall comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities :

• Strive to provide the best patient experience
• Support and Assist dentist chairside with clinical treatment of patients.
• Assist with documentation and the upkeep of records
• Listen, empathize and address all patient concerns
• Provide clear communication and education on treatment plans and maintaining oral health.
• Oversee operatory set-up and clean-up, including sterilization process.
• Take radiographs/x-rays
• Support front desk and office manager as needed with admin needs, patient calls, etc.

Qualifications :

• 1+ years experience as Orthodontic Dental Assistant
• CRP Certification- Radiography/ X-RAY certification per state guidelines
• Well versed in dental terminology and procedures
• Maintains a positive, collaborative and supportive disposition with team and patients
• Maintain compliance with state dental practice requirements (i.e., X-ray requirements, OSHA, and CE training).
• Understands and complies with HIPAA and HITECH Act of 2009
