Dental Assistant/Orthodontic Assistant

Hook Orthodontics is looking for a professional Orthodontic Assistant to join our motivated and ambitious team.

The ideal candidate for this position has clinical orthodontic experience and is eager to expand their skillset by cross-training in multiple administrative front desk capabilites, including how to treatment coordinate.

*We have 3 locations, so you must be willing to commute

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm

Willing to train the right person, dental experience big plus, ortho experience bigger plus, Cloud9 software expereince, biggest plus!

Responsibilities:

• Clearly communicate patient needs/concerns with the orthodontist
• Thoroughly educate patients on various procedures and treatment recommendations
• Provide post-operative and general oral health care instructions to patients
• Gather all patient dental records
• Notate patient charting and clinical notes
• Take digital x-rays
• Provide chair side assistance to the orthodontist during treatment
• Maintain patient room supplies and ensure inventory is appropriately stocked
• Sterilize instruments and equipment and assemble trays
• Perform various laboratory duties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE prior experience as an orthodontic assistant
• Knowledge of dental/orthodontic terminology
• Previous experience using Cloud9 practice management software is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Exceptional attention-to-detail
• Cloud 9 Software Experience is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
