As a Dental Biller, you will be responsible for accurately processing dental claims, managing patient accounts, and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance providers. Your expertise in medical coding, billing software, and customer service will contribute to the efficiency and financial health of our practice. Duties

• Prepare and submit dental insurance claims using appropriate coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes.
• Review patient records and treatment documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by communicating with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and expedite payments.
• Maintain detailed and organized medical records, including billing histories and correspondence with payers.
• Utilize billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to process claims efficiently.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to service delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding billing statements, payment options, and insurance claims.
• Stay updated on healthcare claims management policies, health insurance regulations, and changes in medical coding standards to ensure compliance.

Experience

• Prior experience in medical billing within a dental or healthcare setting is required.
• Proficiency in dental-specific coding systems such as CPT codes for dental procedures is essential.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding conventions for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Familiarity with medical collection processes and healthcare claims management procedures.
• Experience working with billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex billing issues efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service.
