Position Overview

Prestige Health & Beauty Sciences Academy is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Dental Hygiene Program Director to lead the development, accreditation, and successful launch of our new Dental Hygiene Program.

We are looking for a dedicated dental education professional with strong clinical experience, academic leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) standards and requirements.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in dental hygiene education, curriculum development, accreditation preparation, and program administration.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in establishing a new Dental Hygiene Program and shaping the next generation of dental hygiene professionals.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & CODA Accreditation

• Collaborate with academy leadership and accreditation consultants to support the CODA initial accreditation process.
• Assist in preparing accreditation documentation, self-study materials, and required supporting evidence.
• Develop and review curriculum, course syllabus, learning objectives, competency assessments, and evaluation tools.
• Ensure program policies, academic standards, and clinical training requirements align with CODA standards.
• Develop faculty staffing plans, qualification requirements, and student-to-faculty ratios.
• Establish clinical policies and procedures, including infection control, radiation safety, patient documentation, and emergency protocols.
• Participate in accreditation site visits and assist with follow-up reporting.

Academic & Clinical Leadership

• Provide academic and administrative leadership for the Dental Hygiene Program.
• Recruit, mentor, supervise, and evaluate faculty members.
• Oversee clinical education, student competencies, and clinical training standards.
• Coordinate clinical schedules and patient care activities at affiliated clinical facilities.
• Monitor student academic performance, retention, licensure examination outcomes, and program effectiveness.
• Participate in curriculum review, continuous improvement, and institutional planning.
• Chair the program's Advisory Committee and oversee the program budget.
• Teach selected didactic courses as agreed upon with academy leadership.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

• Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) or Dentist (DDS/DMD) license in Florida, or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure.
• Graduation from a CODA-accredited dental hygiene or dental education program.
• Master's degree or higher from an institutionally accredited educational institution.
• Minimum of three years of full-time equivalent clinical experience in dental hygiene or dentistry.
• Strong understanding of dental hygiene education, clinical standards, and professional regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to begin working on the accreditation project promptly.
• Willingness and ability to transition to a full-time Program Director position once the program launches.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Hygiene Program Director, Assistant Director, Clinical Coordinator, or faculty member.
• Direct experience with CODA accreditation, self-study preparation, or accreditation site visits.
• Experience developing dental hygiene curricula, syllabi, clinical competencies, and student evaluation methods.
• Experience teaching in a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program.
• Familiarity with Florida dental hygiene education requirements.
• Experience supervising clinical faculty and managing educational programs.
• Spanish or Russian language proficiency is a plus, but not required.

Work Location

Hallandale Beach, Florida, with responsibilities at the academy campus and affiliated dental clinical facilities in South Florida.
