Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination
• Supervise dental and administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment
• Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and cost control measures
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA privacy rules, and state/federal health policies
• Utilize practice management software Dentrix Ascend to streamline patient records, appointment scheduling, billing, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems)
• Maintain high levels of customer service by addressing patient concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out
• Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate care delivery, manage medical records accurately, and support acute care or hospital experience requirements when necessary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management within a dental or clinical setting
• Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success managing teams in healthcare environments
• Proficiency in Dentrix Ascend; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite is essential
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, health regulation policies, and managed care protocols
• Excellent managerial communication skills combined with a customer service-oriented approach
• Background in fiscal management including budgeting, medical billing, and financial oversight
• Experience with medical administrative support functions such as medical records management and medical terminology understanding
• Prior clinic experience is highly desirable
