Angel Dental is looking for a Dental Nurse Apprentice to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working with people and would like to develop a rewarding career in dentistry.

You don't need previous dental experience or a dental nursing qualification. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in helping patients feel comfortable and cared for.

What will the role involve?

As a Dental Nurse Apprentice, you will learn how to support our dental team and help ensure patients receive safe, high-quality care.

Your training will include:

• Assisting dental clinicians during dental treatments and procedures.
• Providing support to patients and helping them feel relaxed and comfortable.
• Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including equipment and materials
• Learning and following infection prevention and control procedures.
• Cleaning, decontaminating and sterilising dental instruments in accordance with practice procedures.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and following confidentiality and data protection requirements.
• Supporting the smooth running of the practice and working closely with clinicians, dental nurses and reception colleagues.
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining high professional standards.
• Developing knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and patient care standards through on-the-job training

You will receive practical training and support from the team while working towards a recognised dental nursing qualification through the apprenticeship scheme.

Experience

• No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship programme
• A keen interest in healthcare, nursing, or dentistry is desirable
• Good command of English, both written and verbal
• Basic IT skills for managing digital records and communication tools
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
• Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records
• Patient care skills, empathy, and professionalism are essential qualities for success in this role

Working pattern

• 4 days per week working at the practice, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
• 1 day per week at college as part of the dental nursing apprenticeship.
