What they need
Overview
We are looking for an ambitious, organised and people-focused dental professional to join our well-established fully independent private dental practice, with a start date of January 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop into a Practice Manager, as well as for an experienced Dental Practice Manager who is looking for a fresh challenge within a fully independent practice.
You may currently be a Head Dental Nurse, Head Receptionist or Team Leader with some management experience and feel ready to take on greater responsibility and develop your management skills. Alternatively, you may already be an experienced Dental Practice Manager, perhaps from a corporate or independent background, and be looking for a new challenge where you can take ownership, use your experience and have a genuine influence on the future development of the practice.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident, commercially aware and passionate about people, with the ability to lead a team, maintain high standards and contribute to the continued growth and success of an independent practice.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to become a key part of the leadership team, taking responsibility for the smooth running of the practice, supporting the team, improving patient experience and helping the practice continue to grow.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a senior dental role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- A confident and professional approach
- Someone who enjoys managing and motivating people
- Ability to handle difficult situations and conversations
- Good commercial awareness
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- High standards and attention to detail
- Passion for delivering an outstanding patient experience
- Willingness to learn and develop into a full Practice Manager role
- A genuine desire to build a career in dental practice management
The role
Working 4 days per week, you will work closely with the Business Manager, Principal and leadership team and gradually take ownership of areas including:
- Team management and development
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Staff rotas and performance
- Patient experience
- Complaints and feedback
- Practice systems and processes
- Compliance and policies
- Diary efficiency and practice performance
- Stock and ordering
- Supplier management
- KPIs and reporting
- Treatment coordination and patient journey
- Supporting practice growth
- Identifying areas where we can improve efficiency and profitability
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the practice—not simply someone looking for another job.
Join us to lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care! We’re committed to supporting your growth through ongoing development opportunities and fostering an engaging work environment where your leadership makes a real difference.
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,500.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company events
- Company pension
- Employee discount
- Employee mentoring programme
- On-site parking
Work Location: In person
