DENTAL SURGERY ASSISTANT

• Chairside Assistance: Assist dentists during dental treatments and surgical procedures by preparing and passing instruments, providing suction, and maintaining a clear operating field.

• Infection Control: Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, including the proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments and equipment to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

• Patient Reception & Preparation: Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, record medical histories and measure vital signs when required.

• Dental Radiography: Take dental X-rays while ensuring accurate positioning, radiation safety, and compliance with applicable regulations.

• Patient Records Management: Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and clinical progress notes while ensuring compliance with data protection and patient confidentiality requirements.

• Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and reschedule or cancel patient appointments as needed.

• Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and post-operative care instructions.

• Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish dental materials, instruments, and clinical supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.

• Oral Health Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, dental hygienists, and other team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

REQUIREMENT

• SPM or equivalent
• Possesses strong practical skills and is competent in carrying out dental nursing procedures and related clinical tasks.
• Experience in dental nursing is preferred, but not required. Comprehensive paid training will be provided for candidates without prior experience.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy, strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a friendly, attentive, and professional approach to patient care.
