About the role

Gentle Care Smiles is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our practice. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality dental care to our patients in Vermont, VIC and surrounding suburbs.

As a Dentist, you will play a vital role in providing preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dental treatments whilst maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient preferences
• Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy and cosmetic treatments
• Provide preventative dental care and patient education on oral hygiene and maintenance
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate effectively with dental assistants to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Communicate clearly with patients about treatment options, costs and expected outcomes
• Adhere to all relevant dental and healthcare regulations and infection control protocols

What we're looking for

• Valid registration with the Dental Board of Australia and current practising certificate
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
• Ideally, proven experience as a practising dentist, ideally in a private or mixed practice setting.
• New grads welcome to apply - mentoring and training provided
• Strong clinical skills with proficiency in general dentistry procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and staff
• Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of care and attention to detail
• Current professional indemnity insurance or ability to obtain coverage
• Knowledge of modern dental practices, materials and digital technologies
• A commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with dental advancements
• Current CPR and first aid certification or willingness to obtain
