Dentist - Kyalami

The purpose of the Dentist is to deliver high-quality oral healthcare through the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and accurately diagnose oral health conditions
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Perform preventative, restorative, and general dental procedures in line with professional standards
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and available treatment options
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements
• Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment
• Collaborate with oral hygienists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care
• Ensure clinical practice aligns with ethical and professional standards set by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with dental practices, guidelines, and technologies

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
• Completion of compulsory community service in South Africa
• Active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in good standing
• Registration with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) and a valid practice number (if applicable)
• Valid professional malpractice insurance
• Compliance with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements as prescribed by HPCSA
• Knowledge of South African dental regulations, infection control standards, and ethical guidelines
• Good manual dexterity and the ability to work effectively within a clinical team environment
• Previous private practice experience will be advantageous.
