Deployment Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PCRF Deployment Engineer to handle deployment, installation, configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) solutions in telecom core networks.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in telecom packet core networks, policy control solutions, and integration with network elements such as P-GW, OCS, and subscriber management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, install, configure, and integrate PCRF nodes in telecom core network environments.
• Perform software installation, upgrades, patches, migrations, and configuration changes.
• Integrate PCRF with network elements such as P-GW, OCS, SPR, HSS, and other policy-related systems.
• Work on Diameter-based interfaces, including Gx, Gy, and Sy, as applicable.
• Perform end-to-end deployment testing, functional testing, and service validation.
• Troubleshoot deployment, integration, signaling, and connectivity issues.
• Analyze logs, alarms, traces, and protocol messages to identify and resolve issues.
• Support network acceptance testing, customer demonstrations, and production rollouts.
• Coordinate with core network, packet core, charging, operations, and vendor teams.
• Prepare deployment documents, implementation plans, MOPs, test cases, and handover reports.
• Provide post-deployment support and resolve issues during maintenance windows.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in PCRF deployment, integration, or implementation.
• Strong understanding of telecom core network architecture and policy control.
• Knowledge of Diameter protocol and interfaces such as Gx, Gy, and Sy.
• Understanding of LTE/4G EPC architecture and packet core elements.
• Experience with P-GW, OCS, HSS, SPR, and related network interfaces.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with protocol trace analysis and log investigation.
• Understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to work during planned deployment windows and coordinate with customer teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 5G PCF and 5G Core architecture.
• Knowledge of VoLTE, LTE, subscriber policy, and charging workflows.
• Experience with telecom vendors such as Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, or other PCRF solution providers.
• Knowledge of virtualization, cloud-native telecom deployments, Kubernetes, or containerized network functions.
