Ko wai mātou – About us
Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know Gilmours, New World, PAK’nSAVE, and Four Square, right? That’s us!
With more than 320 stores and over 27,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Māui, Foodstuffs North Island is a co-operative proudly owned by our Members. Working closely with store teams, Compliance Managers and Owner Operators, you'll provide training, coaching and operational support to ensure successful adoption of the programme and positive business outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping others learn and adapt to new ways of working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering Safe Food Pro training and coaching to store teams.
- Supporting stores through the transition to a digitised food safety platform.
- Identifying training needs and developing practical solutions.
- Building trusted relationships with Owner Operators, Compliance Managers and store teams.
- Supporting project delivery within agreed scope, timeframes and budgets.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and the overall success of the deployment programme.
- Helping minimise compliance and food safety risks through effective training and support.

- Experience in training, coaching, facilitation or change support.
- A background in food safety, compliance, retail operations, or a related field (experience with Safe Food Pro would be highly advantageous).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organisational capability with the ability to work independently.
- Confidence presenting to both small and large groups, in person and virtually.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.
