Depot Gate Clerk

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Depot Gate Clerk to join our team at MEDLOG Philippines Inc, sister company of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Philippines Inc' in Tondo, Manila. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for inspecting empty containers, categorizing them based on condition, and ensuring all container movements are properly documented. Your role directly supports depot efficiency, safety, and operational flow.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct thorough inspections of empty containers upon arrival.

• Assess container condition and categorize for reuse or repair.

• Monitor truck turnaround time and ensure KPI compliance.

• Oversee drop-off and pick-up processes for empty containers.

• Update container status and details in the depot management system.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections and categorization.

• Provide excellent service to drivers and stakeholders.

• Adhere to safety regulations and report hazards immediately.

• Generate and submit daily reports on container movements and discrepancies.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar depot or logistics role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management software
• Knowledge of warehousing, storage, and distribution practices in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities
• Fluency in both English and Filipino
