About Vertical Access

Vertical Access is one of the UK’s most established rope access specialists, delivering geotechnical, inspection, structural and access solutions across the rail, construction and infrastructure sectors.

Founded in 1988, we are recognised for our technical expertise, safe delivery and continued innovation in difficult-access environments.

Working nationwide, we provide IRATA-led access, installation, maintenance and inspection services, supporting major clients across civil engineering, rail network schemes and industrial structures.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Depot Operative to support the day-to-day running of our depot and help ensure equipment integrity, company compliance and depot readiness.

A key part of the role will be ensuring that rope access and lifting equipment is maintained, certified and deployed safely. You will also be responsible for the regular transport and delivery of materials, equipment, kit and plant to our sites, assisting with deliveries into the depot and supporting general depot operations.

Reporting to the Depot Manager, this is a hands-on and physically demanding support role that is central to our operational delivery.

Responsibilities will include helping ensure project teams have the correct vehicles and certified equipment required to mobilise safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working both as part of a team and independently, using their own initiative when required.

This is a critical supporting position that underpins site safety, asset tracking, equipment lifecycle management and the smooth mobilisation of our operational teams across the UK.
