Deputy Course Manager – Thornbury

With exciting investment in the golf course and ambitious plans for the future, we’re looking for an energetic, people-focused Deputy Course Manager to be part of the journey.

Working alongside the Course Manager, you’ll help lead the greenkeeping team, support our golfers and ensure the course continues to develop and deliver a fantastic experience.

We’re looking for someone who brings fun, ambition, collaboration and trust to everything they do — someone who wants to make their mark, develop their skills and be part of something that’s going places.

What we’re looking for

• Level 2 and/or above qualification in Greenkeeping or an equivalent recognised qualification, providing the core operational foundation for the role.
• Relevant experience within golf course greenkeeping, with the ability to support and lead day-to-day course operations.
• Appropriate pesticide-handling certification, with recognised certificates relevant to the safe use and application of professional pesticides.
• A strong understanding of turf management, course presentation, machinery and modern greenkeeping practices.
• Good communication and people skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and support the development of the greenkeeping team.
• A positive, practical and proactive approach, with the ambition to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the course.
• A commitment to health and safety, environmental responsibility and maintaining high professional standards.
