Deputy General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Maintenance**

Supervise and coordinate all engineering and maintenance activities within the property

Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, elevators, STP, RO plant, etc)

Ensure timely repairs and minimize equipment downtime

Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, order, and safety in all engineering areas

Team Management**

Lead and manage the engineering team, including technicians and contractors

Develop training programs for staff to enhance technical skills and safety awareness

Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts

Evaluate team performance and motivate employees to achieve departmental goals

Budgeting & Cost Control**

Prepare and manage the engineering department s annual budget

Control maintenance costs while maintaining quality and efficiency

Manage procurement of engineering materials, spare parts, and vendor contracts

Compliance & Safety**

Ensure compliance with all local building, fire, and safety regulations

Maintain up-to- documentation and records for statutory inspections (fire NOC, lift certification, boiler license, etc)

Conduct periodic safety audits and risk assessments

Oversee environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives

Project Management**

Plan and execute renovation, expansion, and capital projects

Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors for project execution

Ensure projects are completed within timelines and budget

Guest Service & Support**

Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests

Coordinate with front office and housekeeping to ensure guest satisfaction

Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues
