Deputy General Manager

Mission The Deputy General Manager (DGA) assists and supports the General Manager in the strategic and operational management of the company. He ensures the smooth running of the various departments, contributes to the optimization of the organization's performance and ensures relations with institutions and partners in connection with the mill's activities.

Responsibilities

Strategy and development

• Develop and implement the company's development strategy.
• Define short, medium, and long-term objectives.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop strategic partnerships.
• Support the company's transformation and development projects.

Operational management

• Supervise all departments (Human Resources, Finance, Production, Sales, Marketing, Maintenance, etc.).
• Implement and optimize internal processes to improve operational performance.
• Ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements are met.
• Ensure coordination between the different services.

Management and leadership

• Manage, support, and develop teams.
• Define objectives and performance indicators (KPIs) for each department.
• Promote a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Supervise recruitment, training, and performance management policies.

Institutional relations and representation

• Represent the company to clients, partners, suppliers, and institutional bodies.
• Develop and maintain lasting relationships with the various stakeholders.
• Ensure the company's image and reputation.

Financial management and reporting

• Monitor profitability and propose necessary corrective actions.
• Participate in budget development and monitoring.
• Control the company's financial and material resources.
• Present regular reports to the General Manager on performance, projects, and key management indicators.

Required Skills

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in General Management, Operations Management, or strategic management roles.
• Proven experience in business development, organizational structuring, or the creation of new entities.
• Experience in the agri-food sector, milling, or industry is an asset.
• Experience in change management and complex project management is appreciated.

Technical Skills

• Excellent command of strategic and operational management.
• Solid skills in budget management, management control, and performance steering.
• Good project management skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and business management tools.
• Good understanding of industrial processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Profile required

Education: Bac +5 in Management, Finance, Business Administration, Business School, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Significant experience in managing a company or a Business Unit.

Excellent strategic vision and leadership skills.

Strong ability to adapt, initiative, and change management.

Ability to evolve in a demanding and constantly evolving environment.
