Deputy Internal Audit Manager (One-year contract)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of annual audit plans;
• Assist in the evaluation of internal control policies;
• Assist in the review of operations and recommend improvements for effectiveness and efficiency;
• Supervise and coach subordinate on internal audit assignments and other daily tasks;
• In-charge of the execution audit assignments and fieldworks;
• Review audit workpapers and draft audit reports;
• Conduct thorough follow-up of corrective action plans before due dates to ensure remediation is implemented on time;
• Assist in the preparation for Internal Audit Sub-Committee Meetings; and
• Undertake any ad-hoc assignments when necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines, with a recognized professional qualification such as CPA, CIA or equivalent;
• Attainment of Level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in HKDSE/HKCEE, or equivalent;
• At least 5 years of internal audit/audit experience in sizeable organizations or audit firms, experience in NGO operations is preferred;
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit methodologies and risk management principles;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate change and cultivate agreement among auditee and stakeholders;
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple audit activities;
• Good report writing and presentation skills; and
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with data analytics tools is an added advantage.
