Job Description Deputy Manager NSS

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate NSS activities, camps, awareness drives, and community service programs.
• Manage and guide NSS student volunteers and ensure active participation.
• Coordinate with university departments, government authorities, NGOs, and community organizations.
• Organize social welfare initiatives such as cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, awareness campaigns, plantation drives, and rural/community development programs.
• Prepare annual/monthly activity plans, reports, proposals, and official documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of NSS volunteers, activities, attendance, photographs, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with University and NSS guidelines and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate logistics, permissions, venues, transportation, and resources for NSS events.
• Monitor the performance and engagement of student volunteers.
• Support NSS Coordinator in implementing strategic initiatives and university-level outreach programs.
• Prepare presentations and reports for management reviews, inspections, audits, and statutory requirements.
• Promote the university's social responsibility and community engagement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Any graduate
• Experience: 36 years of experience in NSS, student affairs, social outreach, NGO/community development, event management, or a similar role.
• Experience in a higher education will be preferred.
