About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and hands-on Deputy Pub Manager to support the day-to-day running of the pub.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will help lead the team, maintain high standards and deliver an excellent customer experience. You will also take responsibility for the venue in the manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, lead and motivate the pub team.
• Take responsibility for the pub during the manager's absence.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and presentation.
• Assist with stock control and cash handling.
• Deal professionally with customer queries and complaints.
• Ensure food, drink and service standards are consistently maintained.
• Ensure health & safety, food safety, allergen and licensing procedures are followed.
• Support the General Manager in achieving sales and profit targets.
• Assist with events, promotions and busy service periods.
• Lead by example and be prepared to get stuck in wherever needed.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous pub, restaurant, bar or hospitality management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• A positive, professional and hands-on approach.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• A genuine passion for hospitality.
