What they need
Burgerism is an award-winning Manchester-made concept. We focus primarily on delivery and collection and offer high-quality, freshly made food at a fair price. We have a straightforward menu and aim for perfection every time. Our kitchen is dynamic and diverse and offers a challenging but fun and respectful workplace. As a winner of the Times Top Places to Work two years running, we are a team-first organisation looking to work with exceptional people that are excited about the work that we do.
After a busy few years establishing ourselves (and becoming the no.1 most ordered item on Deliveroo in Manchester) we’re now expanding to new areas of the UK! We have 6 sites in Manchester and Leeds and are continuing to grow!
A Deputy Manager is key to the smooth day to day running of their respective site. You will work alongside your General Manager to approach challenges dynamically and create solutions that will benefit the store. We will guide you along the way but let you run your store as if it were yours!
The role will be largely hands-on, kitchen based while taking full responsibility for stock ordering and inventory management, hiring and training, maintaining brand standards and being a leader to your team.
As Manager you will:
- Be responsible for the complete day to day running of your site
- Hold team 1-2-1s and appraisals
- Work through challenges to ensure our food quality is upheld
- Maintain a safe work environment and high hygiene standards
- Oversee the training of the team, providing guidance and support to leads and managers
- Oversee and deliver rosters
- Be a cultural leader and live and breathe the Burgerism values.
- Be available on Peak evenings and weekend.
You will enjoy and do well in the role if you’re:
- Proactive: You act fast before issues grow
- Reliable: You can always be counted on
- A strong communicator: Easy to get a hold of with prompt responses
- Good numeracy and understanding of spreadsheets
- Strong problem solver
- Positive can do attitude and easy to work with
- You enjoy the challenge of delivering quality food at scale and understand the food industry
- Ambitious: Understand we can all do more than we think
- Willing to work weekends and nights
- Open to change: Willing to embrace new ideas and processes
- Thrive in a fast paced environment
- Passionate about food quality and control
The Burgerism Manager Perks:
- An opportunity to become a part of a great team in a growing business.
- A brilliant performance bonus scheme.
- Monthly voucher to spend with us (or share with your friends)
- Cycle to work Scheme
- Access to hospitality action

- Food on us when on-shift.
- Paid breaks
- Regular Burgerism team events.
- 31 days of annual leave (exc. Bank holidays)
