£16.75 per hour
Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced care professional looking for your next leadership opportunity? Do you have the skills and passion to inspire a team and deliver outstanding person-centred care? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Service

Badgers Wood is a welcoming residential care home in Drayton, just a few miles from Norwich, supporting up to 37 older people with both permanent and respite care.

The home provides a comfortable and homely environment, with a range of thoughtfully designed spaces including a library, retro lounge, seaside-themed room, café, and hair and nail salon. These areas help create a relaxed, sociable atmosphere where residents can enjoy spending time with friends, family and staff.

We are proud of our warm, family feel, where residents, families and colleagues build positive and lasting relationships. Our dedicated team is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing. From supporting meaningful activities and social connections to delivering exceptional care and support, we are committed to ensuring residents enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Badgers Wood, and we take pride in providing nutritious, enjoyable meals that residents look forward to. We are continually striving to enhance the experience of the people who live with us and are looking for a Deputy Manager who shares our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Promote positive outcomes, independence, dignity and choice for residents.
  • Support effective rota planning and staffing arrangements.
  • Oversee medication administration and financial processes within the home.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and health and safety matters.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Participate in the management on-call rota (additional payment provided).
  • Support the home in achieving and maintaining compliance with CQC standards.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and residents.

  • Experience working within a residential care setting supporting older people.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading staff teams.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (essential).
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred care.
